Childrens Party Terms & Conditions

  • Not all our designs are customised. If a design has a name or date built into the design, it can be customised at no additional cost. Other changes to our standard designs or special requests (custom designs)  must be submitted a minimum of 7 days prior to the event by emailing us on hive.thetwistedknot@gmail.com

 

  • Once you have booked your party, a private party link will be loaded onto our website under Children’s Parties. This will become available 2-3 weeks before your party. This link can be given to all attendees to select their designs. (They will need to check out to ensure we receive the order)

 

  • Deposit is £20 per party, this is a NON REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation but it is taken off the final total on the day. The Twisted Knot begins the design and production of the projects and stencils once an order is placed on your private party link. If you or your guests need to cancel a project, please give a minimum of 72 hours as this is when the designs would be cut. Any guests who don’t attend on the day will incur a £5 fee due to the vinyl/design being pre cut and ready.
  • Advise all attendees to wear suitable clothing, footwear and long hair tied up. We work with a lot of tools, stains and paints so we advise coming dressed for a workshop party! (we do provide aprons also)
  • Please ensure your party guests are ready to start at your designated time. Our workshops are approximately 2 hours to 2.5 hours (depending whether you pause for food)
  • Hot drinks are available and we can provide squash/cups etc. We do not provide food but you are more than welcome to bring anything you desire (cake, sandwiches etc). We ask that you take all rubbish with you.
  • All guests will stain, prepare their stencil, and paint their design. Here, we use natural wood to build your projects so there may be random cracks, chips, knots and other natural blemishes. Over time, there may babe some peeling or changes due to wood expanding or drying out, all a natural occurrence using raw wood.

 

  • We can provide glitter if you would like. There will be enough for your party. Once it’s gone it’s gone!!
  • As much as we want our guests to have a great time, we are also a retail shop open to the public so we encourage guests to stay in the workshop area and any breakages must be paid for.  Similarly, this is a practical workshop and although we keep the more dangerous tools (drill, hammers etc) out the reach, we ask guests to be mindful with the tools you use on the day. Full risk assessments have been carried out.
  • Ultimately, our friendly and experienced members of staff will be hand to guide your guests through the full workshop process and ensure they have the best time but they are your responsibility on the day.

Private Party Workshop Conditions

This link can be given to all attendees to select their designs. (They will need to check out to ensure we receive the order). they will also have the choice to pay in full or pay on the day.
