Our DIY Workshops
Absolutely NOT! Our workshops provide instruction in a relaxed environment. Just bring your DIY attitude a creative mind and a willingness to learn and you will create a project you will be proud of!
We absolutely try too! Our workshops are suitable from age 6 to adults. We do have options for younger children too.

The length of each workshop depends on the type of workshop booked in. However the typical workshop lasts 2-3 hours.
Due to time and limited places on our workshops, we limit each person to creating one project at a time during a scheduled workshop. Our workshops take approximately 2-3 hours. On quieter times, you may be able to do more than one but we don’t recommend it on your first visit!
Your wood base, vinyl with your design, stains and paints are all included in the price of the project. You will be guided through the whole process by a member of the Team.
Prices vary depending on which project you choose. They begin at £18 for a 30cm board and can go up to £45 for a slatted clock or a height ruler/1200x200mm sign. A complete custom design will have a £5 design fee too!
Weekends, school holidays and peak times (run up to Christmas) we recommend that you book to ensure you’re not disappointed! Weekdays, you are more than welcome to drop into our workshop at The Hive. If it is a larger group, please contact us as a private party booking!

Here in our Hive workshop, we can cater to up to 30 people! We can cater for all group sizes so get in touch!
Firstly, you need to contact us in order to make sure your chosen date/time is available. Once it has been confirmed, we will send you a link to pay a non refundable £20 deposit to secure it. You can contact us via emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Yes please. Project selection and customisation information for your project is required at the time of booking on our on-line registration form. Please be sure to double-check your spelling and information to ensure your project stencil and materials will be ready for you at the start of your workshop. We will customised any stencils ahead of time and add any personalisations required, for any designs or quotes you cannot see please get in touch and we will happily help bring you ideas to life.
If you’re attending a party, you will need to select your designs via a private link a week before the event.
Firstly, we’re so excited you’re joining us for a workshop party!
If you find our Workshop heading, then click on either private party or a children’s birthday party. If you scroll down, you will find all the private links. Choose the one you’re attending. Within this, you will be able to see the different projects available to you. Within each project, there are a number of designs to choose from.
Once you’ve chosen (it can be a hard decision ha!) you need to select the project, the design and any customisations if applicable (a simple name change is included in the price) and select the correct party group again! Add it to the cart and the important bit – fully check out! You will receive an email confirmation!
Not at all, here in the workshop we have a very wide selections or stains, colours and finishes to choose from, all materials are supplied.
We provide aprons, we recommend wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting paint on just in case 🙂
We also recommend that long hair is tied up and have a think about footwear (you don’t want black stain on your white trainers!!!)
We have the facilities to make hot drinks and provide cups/juice too.
Our toilets are located a very short walk outside ( The Yorkshire Wildlife Park main toilets before the Evolution Restaurant)
